Habitat Build at St. Andrew's Begins

What a happy day!

The construction is finally underway on the duplex being built by Habitat on the vacant lots behind the St. Andrew's church.

The work crew arrived (all donated!) and the muffins and coffee arrived as well.

Thanks to Ken Wardle (Building Committee), Fran Bayliss (Food Committee), Oxford Assembly (biffy), and Brannon Construction.... and everyone else who has been part of the struggle to get to this beginning.

Habitat Build to Start this July

After (what feels like to the committee) the long wait for the house blueprints, Habitat for Humanity Virden Chapter will be starting to build our two houses this summer.

First comes digging the basement. This is set for the next couple of weeks. After that point, we will be looking for volunteers for the building the house. If you or someone you know wants to volunteer, please contact:
